Upholds the constitutions of the United States and of Utah, enforce the law, provide counsel to state agencies and public officials, assist law enforcement, and protect the interests of the state, its people, environment and resources.

Our goal in the end is to certify individuals who have a sound knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations and who also possess confidence and sound understanding in safety and practical application of the types of firearms to be concealed.

The Utah Bureau of Forensic Services Criminalistics Laboratory System is designed to assist law enforcement and prosecutors in analyzing evidence taken from crime scenes across the State of Utah. Our primary focus areas are homicides, sexual assaults, drug identification, photography, fingerprints, trace evidence, firearms and tool marks. The Laboratory System uses state-of-the-art technology and equipment in the analysis of evidence. For example DNA testing has become an integral part of laboratory services. Several high priority cases have been solved using DNA technology.

Supports citizens of Utah and local, state and federal criminal justice agencies by providing investigations, technical services and expertise, law enforcement information, training and related resources.

Provides professional police and traffic services and protects the constitutional rights of all people in Utah.
